Soul Food

10 Million tonnes of food gets wasted every year in South Africa, while about 14 million South Africans go to bed hungry every night. Soul Food is a non-profit organisation who repurposes food waste from restaurants and stores and delivering it to people in need. We were tasked with creating a logo and identity for Soul Food. Work done while employed at Xfacta.

Soul Food is a non-profit organisation providing meals to poverty-stricken South Africans by repurposing food from restaurants and stores that would have gone to waste.

A pattern of illustrated food items was created to create a friendly and approachable brand who will be able to help and put a smile on everyone's faces.

Volunteers get enamel pins and tags for helping out.

Apart from receiving a filling meal, durable enamel mugs and a lunch bag that doubles as a school bag, are given to everyone.
